WE BELIEVE

…in the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct…

One God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit…

Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and His Personal return in power and glory…

The Salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith apart from works, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit…

The Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ…

The Unity of the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the Body of Christ…

The Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

Jim Levander  From Our Pastor-

Hi, I’m Jim Levander and I began serving as an elder and pastor of Clinton Bible Church in August of 2018. I grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago as the youngest of five kids in a loving, Christian home. Through the witness of my parents and siblings I came to faith in Christ at age seven. I thank God for the great influence of the AWANA program, Sunday School and youth program of the church where I grew up in Christ and where loving leaders and teachers built upon what I was learning at home and showed me the way to study His Word, grow in the faith and be more like Jesus. A missions trip to France as a high schooler opened my eyes to the broad work of full-time ministry. I went to Moody Bible Institute and graduated from their missionary aviation program in the mid-90s. A few years later, I married Becky – the love of my life – and we went to Kenya with our firstborn baby boy Silas to serve with Africa Inland Mission, where I was a maintenance specialist and administrator. We were there for nine challenging, but sweet years and had another boy, Micaiah. Through the years, I have worked in youth groups, teaching God’s Word to many teens both in the US and Kenya. It became apparent over time that this teaching gift was something God wanted to move to the forefront. We left Africa in 2013 and I enrolled in seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, graduating in May of 2017. God’s faithfulness to me and my family these many years has secured a heart in me devoted to His glory and His mission. I long to see people believe in Christ as Savior and then to grow up in Him as committed, fruitful disciples. I am humbled at the opportunity to lead and teach here alongside other men who are grace-filled and Christ-centered, and our family has quickly come to love this town and this church. I live here in Clinton with my wife and teenage boys and I am so thankful that their acknowledgement of God’s calling on my life has never wavered. Their love and support for me is wonderful. I would love to get to know you and figure out how you can explore life with God or further your progress in the faith. I wouldn’t mind meeting over a fun board game or a round of disc golf either!
